Kendra Wilkinson’s top priority has always been her two children: Hank Randall Baskett IV and Alijah Mary Baskett. The former model and her ex-husband, Hank Baskett, welcomed their first child, Hank IV, in 2009, and their daughter Alijah followed in 2014. Following their 2019 divorce, Wilkinson and Baskett agreed to share custody—a transition Wilkinson admitted was tough at first. But over time, the former couple found their rhythm as co-parents, as she shared with in January 2024.
“The kids are so lucky to have him. I’m lucky to have him,” Wilkinson said. “You just have to look at what you do have and be grateful. We’re co-parenting really well. That’s what divorce is about—it’s actually a very giving thing.”
Despite the initial challenges, Wilkinson has said she feels incredibly grateful for the close bond she shares with her kids.
“I couldn’t have asked for better kids,” she said on a 2021 episode of Kendra Sells Hollywood. “When it comes to parenting and my bond with them, it’s so sacred and so powerful. If there’s one part of my life I’m getting right, it’s them.
Hank Randall Baskett IV, 15
Born on December 11, 2009, in Indiana—where his father played for the Indianapolis Colts—Hank IV carries on a proud family tradition. Before he was even born, Wilkinson and Baskett had already chosen his name.
“We’ve already decided to name our son Hank Baskett IV,” Wilkinson shared on her blog at the time. “Hank’s dad and grandfather were both named Hank, so it was very important to us to carry on the family tradition.”
It turns out, Hank IV shares more than just a name with his father. He’s already showing signs of athletic promise.
“I’m telling you right now, he’s already been scouted and spotted,” Wilkinson told Entertainment Tonight in 2017. “He will be an athlete, no question. I’ve never seen a greater athlete at 7 years old.”
Still, she added, “He’s also an old soul. He’s a nerd, an inventor—he loves to experiment and come up with new ideas.
Alijah Mary Baskett, 11
Alijah Mary Baskett was born on May 16, 2014, in Los Angeles. Wilkinson revealed that her daughter’s name was inspired by a heartfelt encounter during a trip to Sundance.
“I met a driver who was amazing and so kind. He talked about his daughter named Alijah, and I knew right then that would be my little girl’s name,” she said. “Mary is for my grandmother—I wanted to carry that name on.”
She also recalled the joy of watching Hank IV step into his role as a big brother.
“I’d been dreaming about little Hank holding his sister for so long,” she shared. “He had a huge smile and knew right away he was a big brother.”
In 2018, for Alijah’s fourth birthday, Wilkinson posted a sweet photo of her daughter in a tutu holding rainbow balloons, writing: “Happy 4th bday my sweet angel Alijah. Just like mama, she’s here on earth to celebrate life at all times.
