Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos have been one of Hollywood’s most enduring couples. After meeting on the set of All My Children in 1995, the pair tied the knot in May 1996 and have been going strong ever since. Over nearly three decades together, they’ve raised three children: Michael (28), Lola (24), and Joaquin (22).
In 2020, for the inaugural Family Issue, the Live with Kelly and Ryan host and the Riverdale actor reflected on their parenting journey. “As you get older and learn more, that youngest kid hopefully benefits from a little more wisdom… and fewer nerves,” Ripa said. She added that she once had defined ideas about raising boys versus girls but soon realized: “My sons are just as sensitive as my daughter, and my daughter is as strong as my sons.”
After sending their youngest, Joaquin, off to college, the couple officially became empty nesters—a moment Ripa called “brutally painful” on Live with Kelly and Ryan. “It’s one of those things where you can never be ready,” she said.

Born on June 2, 1997, in New York City, Michael is the couple’s oldest child. Lola Grace Consuelos, 24
Lola was born on June 16, 2001, and made her entrance with a dramatic flair—Ripa even called into Live! from the hospital just hours after her birth. In a 2019 Most Beautiful interview, Ripa dished on beauty advice she passed down to her daughter: “Never touch your eyebrows!” she laughed. Lola has grown into a confident young woman, often appearing alongside her family in interviews and social posts.
Joaquin Antonio Consuelos, 22
The youngest of the trio, Joaquin was born on February 24, 2003, and has always had a unique spark. “You’ll have conversations with Joaquin where you realize you’ve just learned something new about the way he thinks,” Consuelos shared. In 2021, he graduated high school and enrolled at the University of Michigan, joining their wrestling team.
