NBA star Chris Paul is a proud father of two. He shares son Christopher “Chris” Jr., 16, and daughter Camryn, 12, with his wife, Jada Paul. Over the years, Chris has opened up about how fatherhood has shaped his life — much of it inspired by his own dad, Charles Paul.
In 2022, the point guard shared how his father’s approval still means everything to him. “The only person’s approval that I still really, really care about to this day is my dad,” he said, adding that Charles taught him to give his kids “the most amount of love that you could show.” That inspiration even led Chris to write his second children’s book, Basketball Dreams. He later shared photos reading it alongside his son, captioning the moment: “Papa Chilly inspired me at an early age with lessons I’ve carried all my life… This one’s for all the kids who have dreams and who inspire them how to get there.”
In 2017, Chris and his kids modeled together for Bloomingdale’s Father’s Day campaign. He spoke fondly of family dinners and the importance of capturing memories: “Enjoy the little moments and take more pictures. We take tons of pictures anytime we have a family event.
Christopher Emmanuel Paul II, 16
Chris and Jada’s first child, Christopher Emmanuel Paul II, was born on May 25, 2009. As a toddler, he was often spotted with his dad at NBA press conferences. One memorable moment came in 2012, when Chris Jr., sitting on his father’s lap, hilariously mimicked Blake Griffin’s intense game face.
Now a teenager, Chris Jr. is stepping into his dad’s shoes — literally. “My son loves the game. He loves it,” Chris said in 2020, adding that the pandemic allowed him a rare chance to personally train his son on the basketball court. But Chris Jr.’s interests don’t stop at basketball — he’s also a soccer fan. In 2018, Chris shared how he got up early with his son to watch World Cup matches. “You’re going to love whatever makes your kids happy,” he said, adding that he’s grown to genuinely enjoy soccer because of their shared moments.
Camryn Alexis Paul, 12
The Pauls welcomed their daughter, Camryn Alexis, on August 16, 2012. During quarantine in 2020, Chris described Camryn as full of energy — sometimes getting “really antsy” during Zoom calls. He and Jada worked as a team to keep her active and engaged: Chris created workout circuits, while Jada encouraged outdoor runs to burn off extra energy.
For her 10th birthday, Chris posted a heartfelt Instagram tribute featuring photos of the two of them. “I love the beautiful Black young lady you are and even more the one you are becoming!!” he wrote. “Daddy loves you forever!! Double digits!!! Can’t believe it…Happy Birthday baby girl.”
Camryn’s 8th birthday was also a memorable one — she celebrated with a movie night sleepover alongside friends, including Zhuri Nova, daughter of LeBron James. Jada described her daughter as “beautiful, creative, artistic,” and “the sweetest little lady.

Chris Paul met Jada Crawley, now Jada Paul, in high school back in 2003 through a mutual friend. After years of dating, the couple tied the knot in 2011 in Charlotte, North Carolina, with their young son by their side. A year later, they welcomed their daughter Camryn.
Chris has often spoken about his admiration for Jada and the women in his life. In a 2022 interview, he said, “I think that’s why I’m blessed — to have the strong mother I was raised by, but then also have an amazing wife and the opportunity to raise two amazing kids.”
