Troian Bellisario and Patrick J. Adams are proud parents of three children.

The couple welcomed their first child, daughter Aurora, in October 2018, two years after tying the knot in Southern California. Their family grew again in May 2021 with the arrival of their second daughter, Elliot. In January 2026, Adams revealed on Instagram that the pair had welcomed baby No. 3.

While Bellisario and Adams are known for keeping their family life largely private, they occasionally offer sweet glimpses into their world on social media. In September 2023, Bellisario marked National Daughters Day by sharing a rare photo of her daughters.

“Apparently today is #nationaldaughtersday but then I don’t understand what literally every other day of the year is…” she wrote. “I couldn’t be more grateful to be the mother of these two wild forces of nature. You have always been and will always be my favorite human beings.”

In July 2022, Bellisario spoke candidly with The Nerds of Color about balancing motherhood and her acting career. The Pretty Little Liars alum explained that becoming a mom has changed how she approaches projects, especially given the time and energy required to fully inhabit a role.

“I’m not able to do as many things the way I could when I was 20 or 21,” she shared. “So now, when I read a role, it has to grab me enough to feel worth missing bedtime with my daughters.”

She added that she feels fortunate to be selective, choosing work that allows her to stay present with her children while still showing up creatively fulfilled.

Aurora Adams, 7

Troian Bellisario and Patrick J. Adams welcomed their first daughter, Aurora Adams, on Oct. 4, 2018. Days later, they announced her arrival on Instagram, each posting a touching photo of the newborn gripping their fingers.

“The world just got 8 lbs heavier,” Adams wrote, thanking those who helped protect their privacy. Bellisario shared her own heartfelt message, expressing pride in becoming Aurora’s mother and her hopes to raise her daughter to be kind, strong, and unapologetically herself.

Two weeks after Aurora’s birth, Adams opened up about new fatherhood, joking that the experience taught him just how valuable sleep really is.

In early 2019, Bellisario reflected on her initial fears around raising a daughter during an appearance on Katie Lowes’ podcast, Katie’s Crib. She admitted that her own experiences made her anxious, but those fears disappeared after Aurora arrived.

“I felt an instant connection,” she said. “I couldn’t stop staring at her. I felt love, responsibility, and admiration right away.”

The couple kept Aurora’s name private until her first birthday. Later, Bellisario shared with Teen Vogue that her name was inspired by Roman mythology, where Aurora represents the goddess of the dawn—symbolizing a new chapter in their lives.

In October 2022, Bellisario celebrated Aurora’s fourth birthday with a heartfelt Instagram tribute, reflecting on how profoundly motherhood has changed her.

Elliot Rowena Adams, 4

Bellisario and Adams welcomed their second daughter, Elliot Rowena Adams, on May 15, 2021.

Both parents shared the surprise news on Instagram, with Bellisario calling Elliot’s arrival “a whole new ERA for this family.” Adams echoed the sentiment, welcoming his daughter with a playful caption celebrating her unforgettable entrance into the world.

The couple later revealed on Katie’s Crib that Elliot was born in their car just moments after pulling into the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center parking lot. With no time to spare, Adams delivered their daughter himself in a whirlwind few minutes.

“It all happened so fast,” Bellisario recalled, adding that hearing Elliot cry afterward brought instant relief.

One month after her birth, Elliot made her on-screen debut in Bellisario’s 2022 film Doula. Speaking with Teen Vogue, Bellisario shared that her daughter played her character’s newborn, making the experience especially meaningful.

Baby No. 3

Patrick J. Adams and Troian Bellisario’s third child arrived in January 2026. Adams announced the news on Instagram with a photo holding his newborn’s hand, simply captioned, “Tag, you’re it.”

A few months earlier, Bellisario revealed her pregnancy while celebrating her 40th birthday, writing that a new decade — and a new human — were on the way.

Adams later shared a touching message to their unborn child, expressing excitement for everything still unknown, while emphasizing the love already waiting.

“We don’t know much,” he wrote, “but we know there is nothing we want to be more than your parents.”
