Sharon Stone is not only an acclaimed actress and author but also a devoted mother to three sons. Her journey into motherhood began in 2000, when she and her then-husband, Phil Bronstein, adopted their first child, Roan, now 24. Five years later, she adopted her second son, Laird, 20, followed by her youngest, Quinn, 18, in 2006.
Over the years, Stone has spoken openly about the deep personal losses she has experienced, including multiple miscarriages. In a 2022 comment on a Instagram post, she shared, “I lost nine children by miscarriage… It is no small thing, physically nor emotionally, yet we are made to feel it is something to bear alone and secretly with some kind of sense of failure.
Roan Joseph Bronstein Stone, 24
Born on May 22, 2000, Roan was Stone’s first child. After Stone and Bronstein divorced in 2004, they were granted joint custody, with Roan primarily living with his father in San Francisco. In 2008, Stone sought to have Roan move to Los Angeles with her, but the court denied her request. Still, their bond remained strong.
In a 2023 episode of Table for Two with Bruce Bozzi, Stone revealed the emotional toll of losing custody, saying it “broke her heart” and even led to heart issues requiring care at the Mayo Clinic.
Despite challenges, Roan and his brothers have always shown deep love for their mom. In 2017, the trio honored her at the Associates for Breast and Prostate Cancer Studies Mother’s Day Luncheon. Roan shared his favorite advice from her: “Treat others the way you would want to be treated and put your best foot forward.”
Laird Vonne Stone, 20
In May 2005, Stone adopted her second son, Laird. “I didn’t totally, totally believe it until he was in my arms,” she said at the time. Though Stone keeps her family life private, Laird has joined her on a few public outings.
He accompanied her to red carpet events, including the 2017 premiere of A Little Something for Your Birthday, and later that year, Laird helped present her with the Mother of the Year Award, saying simply: “My mother deserves this award.”
In August 2024, he and Roan were seen enjoying a family dinner with Stone in Los Angeles, smiling for paparazzi photos.
Quinn Kelly Stone, 18
Stone’s youngest son, Quinn, was born in June 2006. Like his brothers, he’s shared the spotlight with his mom from time to time—attending events such as the Dior Homme Menswear show at just 6 years old, and appearing on her Instagram.
In a 2018 interview with, Stone shared a proud parenting moment when Quinn, then quarterback of his flag football team, had game footage sent to her: “It’s such a thrill for me,” she said.
She’s also spoken candidly about raising three boys on her own. “When you decide to take on this big adventure of being a single parent, you don’t know what it’s going to be like… It’s just a lot. Even with help, your hair’s still going down the drain in the shower,” she remarked with humor and honesty.
