Ronda Rousey is officially a mom of two!

In January 2025, Rousey and her husband, Travis Browne, welcomed their second child, daughter Liko’ula Pā’ūomahinakaipiha, into the world. She joins big sister La’akea Makalapuaokalanipō, who was born in 2021. (Browne is also dad to sons Kaleo and Keawe from a previous marriage.)

Rousey has been open about how motherhood has reshaped her life and mindset. In a June 2023 interview she shared how becoming a parent helped her shift her focus outward.

“I’m just so much happier that I’m no longer ruminating over myself all day,” she said. “I’m always thinking about [La’akea].”

La’akea Makalapuaokalanipō Browne, 4

Rousey and Browne welcomed their first child together, La’akea Makalapuaokalanipō Browne, in September 2021. The couple celebrated her arrival with heartfelt social media posts, affectionately calling her “Pō.” Rousey shared tender photos of her newborn, while Browne posted the same images with the caption, “Welcome to this world La’akea Makalapuaokalanipō Browne. You are so incredibly loved!”

Since then, Rousey has occasionally offered glimpses into life with La’akea, from gym visits to everyday adventures like stopping by a local chicken hatch. At the heart of these moments is the close bond the two share. In April 2024, Rousey posted a video of La’akea running into her arms, captioning it, “No place I’d rather be.”

While embracing motherhood, Rousey has continued working, including filming the reality competition series Stars on Mars. Being away from her daughter for that project, however, proved especially difficult.

“That was the most challenging thing, just being away from my baby,” she told June 2023. “I had a really hard time being away from her. The mom guilt was compounding by the day.”

When they were finally reunited, Rousey described an emotional moment filled with excitement and closeness. La’akea ran into her arms, then insisted they run around the house together before settling in for a cozy night watching Frozen. That evening, Rousey recalled falling asleep with her daughter nestled close, calling it “the most amazing feeling after being away for so long.”

Rousey has frequently reflected on how motherhood has improved her mental health, helping her be kinder to herself. “I’m just so much happier,” she explained. “It’s mentally made me more healthy and made me stop beating myself up so much because I’m so concerned with taking care of her.”

La’akea is already showing signs of her mom’s toughness, too. Rousey once shared that after scraping her knee, her daughter didn’t cry—she simply grunted and powered through it.

Liko’ula Pā’ūomahinakaipiha Browne

Rousey and Browne’s second daughter, Liko’ula Pā’ūomahinakaipiha Browne, was born in January 2025. Announcing her arrival on Instagram, Rousey reflected on the dramatic circumstances surrounding her birth.

“Our little girl came into this world during a windstorm into a city on fire,” she wrote, referencing the wildfires that impacted parts of Los Angeles. “So grateful she made it safe and sound.”

Rousey had revealed her pregnancy months earlier while attending San Diego Comic-Con in July 2024 to promote her graphic novel, Expecting the Unexpected. The project, launched via Kickstarter, tells the story of two rival assassins who unexpectedly become pregnant—an experience that mirrored Rousey’s own life in a surprising way.

During a Comic-Con panel, she shared the news with fans, later writing on Instagram, “IT’S A GIRL! Happy I can finally shout it from the rooftops.”
