Christie Brinkley’s 3 Kids: Meet Alexa, Jack, and Sailor

Brinkley welcomed her first child, Alexa Ray Joel, on Dec. 29, 1985, with her second husband, Billy Joel. The couple, who divorced in 1994, did not have any other children. Alexa inherited her father’s musical talent and has built a career as an accomplished singer-songwriter. Over the years, she has released several songs and even performed alongside her iconic dad. In 2021, Alexa debuted a new song titled Seven Years.

Later, Jack was adopted by Peter Cook, Brinkley’s fourth husband. Unlike his sisters, who have embraced careers in the public eye, Jack prefers to keep a low profile. He has stayed out of the entertainment industry and is rarely active on social media. Jack also tends to shy away from family photoshoots or media interviews. However, he did make an exception in 2017, appearing alongside his family in PEOPLE’s World’s Most Beautiful issue.

The youngest of Christie Brinkley’s children, Sailor Lee Brinkley-Cook, was born on July 2, 1998, to Brinkley and Peter Cook. Sailor is often said to be the spitting image of her supermodel mom, with fans and media alike dubbing them “twins.” In a 2017 PEOPLE interview, her sister Alexa described Sailor as “the young, spunky, sassy, bold, perfect little sporty model.” Following in her mother’s iconic footsteps, Sailor has built a career in modeling.

She’s appeared in major publications such as Sports Illustrated and Vogue and even worked alongside her mom in various projects. In 2019, the duo walked the runway together for the Elie Tahari show during New York Fashion Week. A year earlier, Sailor made waves posing nude for Sports Illustrated as part of the magazine’s empowering “In Her Own Words” campaign.
