Lorenzo Musetti’s Growing Family: Meet Son Ludovico and Learn About the Tennis Star’s Baby on the Way

Lorenzo Musetti has been battling hard for his first US Open title in 2025 — but lifting the trophy isn’t his only mission. “Probably having more responsibilities and becoming a sort of example, not just for my kid, but also for all the kids that watch tennis and dream about becoming a professional player or just love the sport,” Musetti told RolandGarros.com in May 2025 about how fatherhood has changed his outlook. He added, “I try to be an example on the court and off the court. That’s my main goal, I would say.”
Two years after going public with his relationship with Italian graphic designer Veronica Confalonieri in December 2022, the couple welcomed their first child, a son named Ludovico, in March 2024. In May 2025, they revealed on Instagram that they are expecting their second child together.

Musetti and Confalonieri announced their pregnancy in 2023 and celebrated the arrival of their son, Ludovico, on March 15, 2024. They shared the happy news with a black-and-white photo of the newborn captioned, “Good morning world 🐥💙” in Italian.
Before Ludovico’s birth, Musetti admitted at the Adelaide International in January 2024 that his goal for the year was to become “a great father,” according to Tennis.com. Later that year, when asked how he was handling parenthood, he laughed: “You have to ask the mother. I was pretty scared of everything, honestly. Especially when he was just a newborn. I was really scared of holding him. And then, when the nurse gave him to me for the first time, I was holding him in a really natural way. It was surprising,” he told Tennis.com in November 2024.
Another Baby on the Way
In May 2025, Musetti and Confalonieri announced that their family was growing once again. They shared a black-and-white photo of themselves with their hands on her baby bump, writing in Italian: “The family is growing #4🩵.” Since then, the family has spent time relaxing at the beach and at their home in Monte Carlo, Monaco. By August 2025, they posted sonogram images of their baby on the way. That same month, Musetti told Vogue that their second child is due in November 2025.
Who Is Veronica Confalonieri?
Musetti and Confalonieri’s romance began in 2022, and they made it public that December. Confalonieri, a talented Italian graphic designer, has been by his side throughout his tennis journey. The couple welcomed Ludovico in 2024 and are now preparing to meet their second child.
When she’s not cheering Musetti on at matches, Confalonieri enjoys traveling, working on design projects, and spending time with their growing family.
Musetti, who turned pro in 2019, has already had several career highlights. He reached the fourth round of the French Open in 2021, advanced to the Wimbledon semifinals in 2024, and earned a bronze medal at the Paris Olympics that same year. By June 2025, he had climbed to No. 7 in the ATP singles rankings.
