Nicky Hilton Rothschild is a devoted mom of three! After tying the knot with James Rothschild in July 2015, the socialite and fashion designer welcomed their first child, daughter Lily-Grace Victoria Rothschild, on July 8, 2016. Their second daughter, Theodora “Teddy” Marilyn Rothschild, arrived a year later on December 20, 2017. Five years after Teddy’s birth, the couple welcomed their first son, Chasen Rothschild, in June 2022.
While juggling motherhood and her fashion design career hasn’t always been easy, Nicky remains committed to balancing both. In March 2023, she opened up about working toward “equal parenting” with her husband. “Balancing my kids with my fashion business is a never-ending battle,” she admitted. “But it’s important to set the right example for the children from the beginning.”
In October 2024, Nicky’s three kids had a milestone moment—attending their first sleepover with their aunt, Paris Hilton. Although they “definitely were up late,” Nicky said, “They loved it. Every minute… I’m bringing them over to Paris again, whether she likes it or not!
Lily-Grace Victoria Rothschild, 9
Born on July 8, 2016, just days before Nicky and James’ first wedding anniversary, Lily-Grace was the couple’s first child. Nicky celebrated the moment with a sweet Instagram post calling her daughter “the best anniversary gift ever.”
Though Nicky lives a very public life, she chooses to keep her children mostly out of the spotlight—sharing only occasional glimpses into their lives on social media. One rare public outing for Lily-Grace was at a February 2020 L.O.L. Surprise! event in NYC, where she matched with her little sister Teddy in coordinating outfits.
In a 2020 interview with, Nicky opened up about feeling “mom guilt,” especially when traveling for work. “Whenever I do work trips, I’ll feel guilty about leaving the children,” she said. “But at the same time, I think it’s also setting a good example… to work on what you’re passionate about.
Theodora “Teddy” Marilyn Rothschild, 7
Teddy was born on December 20, 2017, and just like her big sister, she’s already developing a love for fashion. “They are girly girls in the sense that they love fashion and dressing up,” Nicky once said about her daughters.
In early 2020, Nicky shared that both Lily-Grace and Teddy had started French classes and could already say a few basic phrases. “It’s important to introduce language at a young age,” she said. That same year, Teddy was accepted into school to join her older sister, which Nicky described as a big milestone—“one drop-off at one school!”
Nicky also recalled Teddy’s evolving tastes, saying, “My youngest daughter used to tell me that her favorite color was gray. Thankfully, that has changed!
Chasen Rothschild, 3
After welcoming her daughters close in age, Nicky had her third child, Chasen, in June 2022—about five years after Teddy. News of her pregnancy was confirmed in early 2022, and her sister Paris Hilton hosted a blue bear-themed baby shower in May to celebrate.
Although their mom, Kathy Hilton, wasn’t able to attend the shower, she shared her excitement about being there for the birth. “I fly in [to New York] for all the births. I’ll be there holding her hand,” she said at the time.
As the family prepared to welcome a baby boy, Kathy emphasized the importance of making sure Lily-Grace and Teddy still felt included, especially Teddy. And they were ready—Nicky shared that her daughters were “so happy” and “very, very excited” to meet their baby brother.
Nicky announced Chasen’s arrival on July 5 in a heartwarming Instagram post, writing: “We are officially a party of 5! Welcome to the world sweet boy. Mom, dad and big sisters could not be more smitten.

Nicky has been married to James Rothschild since July 10, 2015, when they wed at Kensington Palace in a fairy-tale ceremony. James, a financier and heir to the historic Rothschild family, has been by Nicky’s side through it all.
The couple now lives in New York City and shares three children together. According to Nicky’s sister Paris, they’re “best friends” and “the ultimate couple,” describing them as “like a prince and princess.”
In a 2025 appearance on the Superwomen with Rebecca Minkoff podcast, Nicky credited their strong marriage to the deep friendship at its core. “He’s such an incredible father,” she said, reflecting on how their bond has only strengthened through parenting.
