Since retiring from the NFL in 2019 after 16 seasons and two Super Bowl wins with the New York Giants, Eli Manning has embraced life as a full-time family man. These days, he enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Abby McGrew, and their four children: Ava (14), Lucy (12), Caroline (10), and Charlie (7).
“It’s good that I get to be around more,” Manning told. “Even just driving the kids around gives me that one-on-one time to chat and hear about their day.”
Manning and McGrew, who married in April 2008, keep their family life relatively private, but Eli still shares special moments on social media—from hockey practices to golf lessons with grandpa Archie. In 2022, he even credited his daughters for inspiring his investment in Gotham FC, a women’s soccer club. “As a dad, I want to make sure my daughters have all the same athletic opportunities I had growing up,” he said.

Ava Francis Manning, 14
Born on March 21, 2011, Ava is Eli and Abby’s first child. Manning has spoken about the instant love he felt for his daughter, saying, “The greatest thing about being a dad is realizing how much you can love someone immediately.” As a baby, Ava loved attending Giants games dressed to the nines—complete with bows in her hair. These days, the roles have reversed, and Manning is the one in the stands watching Ava cheer at football games, something he proudly shared with in 2022.
Lucy Thomas Manning, 12
Lucy arrived on June 17, 2013. For her first birthday, the Mannings kept it low-key with cake, friends, and family. Eli has shared how close Lucy and Ava were growing up, describing Lucy as Ava’s “best friend in the making.” Today, Lucy enjoys fishing trips with her dad and dressing up for Halloween with her siblings. She also plays sports like swimming and lacrosse, which Eli encourages as tools for building confidence, dedication, and resilience.
Caroline Olivia Manning, 10
Caroline was born on January 29, 2015, and has carved out her own athletic path—especially in hockey. In 2022, Eli tweeted about her first practice (after forgetting her helmet, which mom saved the day by delivering). Caroline often shares sister time with Ava and Lucy and has traveled with her family to places like London. She’s also a proud older sister to Charlie, and the two have been spotted enjoying snow days and tubing adventures together.
Charles "Charlie" Elisha Manning, 7
Charlie, the youngest Manning, was born on Super Bowl Sunday in 2018. At just 7 years old, he’s already bonding with his dad over sports—especially football and golf. “We’re doing some knee football,” Eli joked, adding that he’s teaching Charlie the basics like ball security. Charlie also had his first golf lesson with Grandpa Archie and caught his first fish on a father-son fishing trip. Though Eli encourages sports, he emphasizes there’s “no pressure at all” for Charlie to follow in his NFL footsteps.
