Christian Slater is not just a celebrated actor—he’s also a devoted dad of four. The Unfrosted star shares two children with his wife, Brittany Lopez: daughter Lena, born in 2019, and a baby boy welcomed in July 2024. He also has two older children, son Jaden and daughter Eliana, from his previous marriage to Ryan Haddon.
Over the years, Slater has spoken openly about how fatherhood has shaped him. “Having kids is a phenomenal eye-opener,” he once said, crediting his children with inspiring him to earn his GED. Today, he strives to lead by example, telling Parade, “We lead… by example and try to be the best examples we can be for them. I think it just helps all around.”
In a 2024 interview, Slater reflected on how his parenting style has evolved. “I think I was more scared of it the first go-around… very distracted,” he said. “And now, it’s all I really think about, and all I really care about, and all I want to be around. I’m happy to be in that situation.”
The love for his kids was on full display in June 2025 when Slater received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, joined by his wife and daughters Eliana and Lena.
Jaden Christopher, 25
Christian Slater became a father for the first time when his son Jaden was born in 1999. Throughout Jaden’s childhood, the actor enjoyed creating memorable moments—like birthday outings to Dodgers games and the Toyota Grand Prix in Long Beach, where an 11-year-old Jaden once filmed his dad racing from the stands.
Slater has always emphasized the importance of education for his kids, even sharing in 2009 that he encouraged reading by diving into Nancy Drew books with them. “We started going through three chapters of Nancy Drew every night, and they’re so into it,” he said. “Their enthusiasm has really kind of got me very excited about it.”
Though Jaden largely stays out of the spotlight now, he was often seen with his dad at red carpet events as a child.
Eliana Sophia, 23
Eliana, born in 2001, is Slater’s second child with Ryan Haddon. Like her brother, she appeared with her dad at public events as a child but has stayed more private in recent years.
In 2020, Slater shared that Eliana was about to graduate high school during the pandemic and that the family marked the milestone with a Zoom party and custom “Quarantine Graduate of 2020” T-shirts.
He praised Eliana as a bright, kind, and compassionate young woman. “[Eliana] has really blossomed as a very beautiful, intelligent, wonderful, very kind, lovely person,” he said. “I’m proud of her and her being ready to take on life and have some of her own independent adventures now.”
Lena, 5
Slater and Lopez welcomed their first child together, a daughter, in August 2019. While they have not publicly shared her full name, Slater has frequently gushed about their life together.
In a 2020 interview, he shared how much joy she brought to his life—from crawling and standing to morning walks in a BABYBJÖRN. “She’s smiling all the time… It really does brighten up your life. She’s a joy to be around,” he told PEOPLE.
As Lena has grown, her personality has only become more vibrant. “She skateboards, she ice skates, she climbs rock walls, she does aerobics, she plays tennis—and she’s 5,” Slater told PEOPLE in 2024. “She just has a real zest and passion for life that’s very infectious and makes me very excited.”

Roker and Roberts met on the set of Today in 1990 and married in 1995. Over the years, they’ve built a strong partnership, even gracing PEOPLE’s first-ever Love Issue cover in 2021.
“He’s a real romantic,” Roberts shared. “When I travel, I find notes in my suitcase or purse—little messages or even an Emily Dickinson poem. It always touches me.”
