Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino is a devoted dad to three little ones with his wife, Lauren Sorrentino. The Jersey Shore alum married Lauren on November 1, 2018 — just months before beginning an eight-month prison sentence for tax evasion. After his release, the couple shared exciting news in late 2020: they were expecting their first baby. In May 2021, their son Romeo Reign was born.
Two years later, in January 2023, they welcomed their second child, daughter Mia Bella Elizabeth. Then, just months later, in September 2023, Mike and Lauren revealed they were expecting again — this time, another baby girl. Their third child, Luna Lucia Sorrentino, was born in March 2024.
Now eight years sober, Mike has often credited his family — especially being a husband and father — with keeping him grounded. “I’ll be honest with you. I’m happy to make it this far,” he told in August 2023. “I was so wild in my twenties and thirties that being the family man that I am today — being eight years sober in December, a dad of two, married five years in a happy, healthy marriage — I’m killing the game.
Mike and Lauren announced their first pregnancy in November 2020 with a fun post on Instagram, writing: “We have a Baby Situation 🤰,” alongside a flour-strewn counter reading “Baby Sorrentino May 2021.” Romeo was born on May 26, 2021, weighing 6 lbs. 8 oz. and measuring 19 inches long.
Even before Romeo arrived, Mike was already planning how he’d introduce him to his TV past. “I’m obviously going to show him Jersey Shore: Family Vacation first because that series shows my comeback,” he told E! Daily Pop. He joked that Romeo wouldn’t be allowed to watch the original Jersey Shore until he turned 18.
Mike has even imagined the next generation of MTV stars, saying he could see Romeo and the children of his Jersey Shore castmates starring in a spin-off someday.
Mike and Lauren shared they were expecting baby number two in August 2022 but kept the sex a surprise — at first. “There are very few things in life that you get to keep as a special surprise,” Lauren said in September of that year.
Mia was born on January 24, 2023, weighing 5 lbs. 15 oz. Leading up to her arrival, Romeo seemed thrilled to become a big brother. “We tell him that the baby’s going in there and we talked to him about it,” Lauren said. “He’s definitely more aware now.” Romeo would even visit Mia’s bassinet each morning before her birth.
Just nine months after Mia arrived, the Sorrentinos had more big news — baby number three was on the way. In September 2023, they shared fall-themed photos with ultrasound pictures and the caption: “Good things come in threes 🥹 Adding another pumpkin to our patch 🙏🏼 Baby #3 coming March 2024.”
In October, they revealed they were expecting another girl, posting a sweet photo in front of the Shore House — complete with pink footprints in the corner.
Luna Lucia was born on March 6, 2024, weighing 5 lbs. 6 oz. Mike proudly shared the happy news on Instagram, celebrating the newest member of their growing family.
Mike and Lauren’s journey began long before MTV cameras were rolling. They dated for four years before Jersey Shore even began, but split up just before the show started. After the show ended, they reconnected — and have been inseparable ever since.
They married in 2018, with Lauren standing by Mike’s side through his legal battles, prison time, and sobriety journey. “She’s my best friend, my better half,” Mike said. “She makes me a better person. I’m so excited that she’s in my life.”
Lauren has echoed the sentiment. “When I met Mike, I met him as a person and not as a celebrity,” she said. “I’ve always known him at his core — the most giving, loving, family-type of guy in his soul.”
Now, with three little ones under three, the Sorrentinos are embracing the chaos — and the joy — of family life together.
