Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler's 3 Kids: Everything to Know About Camden, Jaxon, and Saylor

by Kristine Bowman

Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler may no longer be together, but they remain committed co-parents to their three children. The former couple welcomed their first child, Camden, in 2012, tied the knot a year later, and expanded their family with the arrivals of Jaxon in 2014 and Saylor in 2015. After nearly seven years of marriage and a decade together, they announced their split in April 2020. Since then, both have spoken openly about how they’ve prioritized their children while navigating co-parenting.

“It’s good,” Cutler told E! News in June 2021. “We’ve done a good job of putting them first.” That same year, Cavallari echoed a similar sentiment in Grazia Magazine, reflecting on how her own parents handled divorce. “Never put the kids in the middle of it, no matter how mad you are at your ex-spouse,” she said. “One thing my mom did was she never said anything bad about my dad. Now that I’m older, I really respect that. I always want my kids to see Jay and me as a united front. He’s their father. That’s important and they need to see that from me.

Camden Jack, 12

Cavallari and Cutler became parents for the first time on August 8, 2012, with the birth of Camden Jack. “We are thrilled to welcome Camden Jack Cutler into the world,” Cavallari shared on Twitter (now X). “He was born this morning weighing 7 lbs., 9 oz. Everyone is doing great!”

Though she originally didn’t want Cutler to watch the delivery, Cavallari later revealed that nurses encouraged him to be more involved. “He held my leg — he saw the whole thing,” she told E!‘s Giuliana Rancic. Camden, much like his reality TV star mom, has grown into quite the character. In December 2022, Cavallari posted a video of them cooking pasta bolognese together from her True Comfort cookbook, giving fans a peek into their close bond.

Jaxon Wyatt, 11

Jaxon Wyatt joined the family on May 7, 2014. “Welcome Jaxon Wyatt Cutler 7 lbs., 11 oz. 5/7/14,” Cavallari captioned a sweet photo of her hospital bracelet and Jaxon’s tiny booties. Before his arrival, Cavallari shared that the second time around, she was simply eager to meet him: “I’m just really excited more than anything,” she said.

Even after their split, Cavallari and Cutler remained committed to giving their kids individual attention. In April 2021, Cavallari shared that during her “off weeks,” she began taking each child on one-on-one date nights. “Last night was Jaxon’s turn,” she wrote. “This kid kills me — he wore a suit and bow tie with dress shoes and was the best little date I could ask for. He kept me laughing the entire time.

Saylor James, 9

The couple welcomed their third child, daughter Saylor James, on November 23, 2015. “She’s going to steal Jay’s heart, which will in turn melt mine,” Cavallari told American Baby at the time. She also expressed how excited she was for the boys to grow up with a sister, saying it would help them better understand and respect women.

Saylor and Cavallari have a special bond, especially during their daily girl time before the boys get home from school. “It’s the last few months of this before my baby is in kindergarten, so I’m soaking it up,” Cavallari wrote in February 2021, alongside a photo of them baking chocolate chip cookies. In April 2022, the pair celebrated another milestone—Saylor getting her ears pierced. Cavallari shared the moment on her Instagram Story, proudly noting that her daughter was “a champ.

Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler’s Relationship Timeline

Cavallari and Cutler’s relationship began in 2010, with a proposal the following year. Though they briefly called off the engagement, they reunited and welcomed Camden in 2012 before marrying in 2013. They settled down in Nashville and added two more children to their family. Behind the scenes, however, the couple faced challenges that ultimately led to their separation in 2020.

“We have nothing but love and respect for one another and are deeply grateful for the years shared, memories made, and the children we are so proud of,” Cavallari wrote on Instagram. “This is just the situation of two growing apart.”

From building a family to learning how to co-parent post-divorce, Cavallari and Cutler have consistently put their kids first—and it shows in the thoughtful way they each speak about parenthood.
