Overseas Challenges 2010
Taking part in an overseas challenge is a brilliant way to raise money for Kids Company whilst visiting extraordinary places, making new friends and achieving a physical feat you can be proud of.
All our overseas challenges are lead by John Howie, from the Territorial Army, who has more than 30 years of guiding experience. Each promises to be an unforgettable experience which will leave you with a huge sense of personal achievement, due to the physical demands of the challenge, and the emotional rewards of knowing that your success will benefit the children of Kids Company.

MT. TOUBKAL (4167m) September 23rd-26th 2010
Following the huge success of Kids Company’s first ascent of the highest peak in North Africa in 2009, we wanted to offer this opportunity to more of our supporters.
Known locally as Jebel Toubkal, Mt. Toubkal stands 4167m above sea level and commands superb views of the High Atlas Mountains. This challenging two-day ascent passes through remote villages and terraced fields offering an insight into the life of the Berber people.
Length of trip: 4 days. Leaving from Heathrow early afternoon on Thursday 23rd September and returning in the afternoon of Sunday 26th September.

ARCTIC BIATHLON November 26th-29th 2010
Following its continued popularity, this is fast becoming an annual Kids Company event. Join us in the Arctic Circle for a Swedish wilderness endurance challenge. By day, teams will compete against one another on sleds and Nordic skis in temperatures as low as -30°C. By night, they will enjoy dinners in the wilderness in the land of the Northern Lights.
Length of trip: 4 days. Leaving from Heathrow early on Friday 26th December and returning late afternoon on Monday 29th December.

CAP FERRET TO PAUILLAC CYCLOTHON May 2011
Join Kids Company’s first cyclothon. The 160km challenge over 2 days will take you along the Atlantic coast, up to the tip of the Gironde Peninsula and through the spectacular pine forests of Les Landes. On the final day you will have many an opportunity to sample some of the locally produced wine!
Length of trip: 4 days.
