Overseas Challenges
Taking part in an overseas challenge is a brilliant way to raise money for Kids Company whilst visiting extraordinary places, making new friends and achieving a physical feat you can be proud of. All our overseas challenges are lead by John Howie, from the Territorial Army, who has more than 30 years of guiding experience. Each promises to be an unforgettable experience which will leave you with a huge sense of personal achievement, due to the physical demands of the challenge, and the emotional rewards of knowing that your success will benefit the children of Kids Company.
PICO ANETO CHALLENGE
Friday 30th September – Sunday 2nd Oct 2011
Join Kids Company on our inaugural attempt to conquer the highest peak in the Pyrenees (3404m). A two-day autumnal ascent promises glorious weather and a sprinkling of snow cover on the glacier meaning ice axes, crampons and ropes will be necessary. The final ascent will begin by torchlight as we head for the gullies and then on to the eventual steep, airy traverse to the peak.
Length of trip: 3 days. Leaving from Luton early on the 30th September and returning late on the 2nd October.
Registration Fee: £250 Minimum Sponsorship: £850
THE ARCTIC BIATHLON

MT KILIMANJARO, TANZANIA

This is a unique opportunity to summit Africa’s highest mountain by the far less trodden Northern Circuit Route where you’ll enjoy amazing tranquillity and panoramic scenery before joining the more crowded Southern routes on the last day as we aim for the summit. We have added in an extra day for optimum acclimatisation giving us the best chance for a successful top out. Join us on this inaugural, once in a lifetime trip.
